US Presidential E(l/r)ections 2016
Indeed, I do not quite know what the title of this post
should really be…. To start with, I have trouble figuring out what the USA
people will be doing in less than a month time. If they are about to hold an election, the question that comes to my
mind is ‘what are these guys choosing from’ since both candidates are the same.
And certainly none of them is causing anybody an erection, as it were….

I have had the privilege to be able to be among the millions
of people that took the time to watch both the Preside(me)ntial (hereinafter the ‘Presidential’) and the VeePee’s (hereinafter the ‘VP’) debates.
The first reminded me of the
cacophony heard in some sort of low grade, rundown geriatric Residential unit. Nothing against
seniors, of course. But, these two, are something else, won’t you agree?
Would
you also agree with me in that , perhaps, someone failed to give a careful thought at the
selection of the debate’s moderator and, instead of bringing in Lester Holt (a
reputed NBC journalist) they could very well have brought in Michael Buffer (a
reputed ring announcer for boxing and professional wrestling matches)?
On the one hand (or corner), we have a duck (hereinafter the ‘Duck’),
a Trump-et player. This character, in my view, is a mix between a MARVEL
superhero and Speedy Gonzalez. As his sidekick has incessantly repeated, this
‘broad shouldered’ specimen’s notes are not only out of tune, but are played very,
very loud. A few documentaries I have seen and read about wind instruments all
agree that one really has to be very strong to manage to produce any decent
sound out of it. The numbers of those who succeed in passing wind through the
instrument are south of 10%. The rest, among which is the Duck, usually produce noisy wind from their
bodily ‘exhausts’ often accompanied by any or all of the three states of the
matter, i.e. gas (chambers), liquid (assets) or solid (bricks walls)……..
On the other hand (or corner), there is Cinder-heala (hereinafter
the ‘Heala’).
Her waxy performance, which lacked a relaxed bodily posture, reminded me of someone feeling the effects of the natural herbs’ suppositories ‘Healar’. Yes, and there she was, standing
straight up with a funny smile in her round face like telling ‘I promise, I
will hold it for as long as it takes’… Probably another reason why she did not
move much, other than a slight shoulder twist here and there, may have been to
avoid rupturing one (or both) cranial nerve(s) which would have left the her
looking like those cheap dolls with Chucky-lookalike eyes.

But let’s discuss about the cognitive
field which, for those among us in need of a reminder, is about skills and
knowledge involving the ability to
acquire factual information, often the kind of knowledge that can easily be tested. This mental activity is also associated with relating
to, being, or involving conscious intellectual activity (for example thinking,
reasoning, or remembering). As this wonderful process kicks in, further into the
forebrain, motor functions trail off and cognitive functions,
involving planning and thinking about the future, begin.
What has me totally disconcerted is the fact that neither seems
to have developed cognitive functions, but rather excel in 'cock-nigtive' skills. This because it was all about what each one did or did not do, said or did not say and supported or not supported (etc. etc.) in the
past, but (totally) averted humoring their audience by sharing consistent,
disciplined, well though through, well laid out and defensible plans (if they truly have
these) to be put in practice once one of them is elected.
After having taken a half-day
break to immerse myself in serious meditation mode to see if I could make
sense of all the nonsense I heard in the ‘debatlles’,
can you believe that my brains came up with nothing? Yes, Nothing at all… And I can assure you I am an extremely creative
person.
So I decided to take a siesta. Not nice either. I had a ‘siestamare’ in which the images I saw were
a sort of a mix between the movies ‘The Wrestler’ and ‘The Lost Honour of Katharina
Blum’….
So, in my view, these ‘four tune
tellers’ are barely good enough to eventually form a band to play in Central
Park against the backdrop of the Salvation Army during a Sunday speech.
Alternatively, it occurred to me that both ‘the Builder’ and ‘the Barterer’ could feature in an extreme tension and anxiety provoking scene in the upcoming
Mad Max movie where, a disgusted but smiling Heala did not manage to hold on to the Duck’s
trumpet. Furthering my imagination, these characters could be an inspiration
for a mobile App with a suggested name ‘Put-in, Put-out’ with a theme along the
lines of déjà vu, lame, porn movies but with the added challenge of having to
deal with flexibility impairment.
As regards, the VP debate (or should I say ‘debacle’) goes, in my mind, this one came
short of a schoolboys’ fight in which the stunned female coach’s is trying to figure
out who is the batter and who is the ball. I’m sure that, by now, she has realized (as we all did) that neither object have brains or self-propulsion.
In summary, my
deepest sentiments go, in the first place to the United States of America
citizens (hereinafter ‘Uessessians’) where the only (and very
few) non-immigrants that remain are cornered in faraway reservations. As a
matter of fact, I tend to believe that, if any one would like to build any wall
anywhere, this should be erected around such land reserves so that the true
local US Americans could be protected from further invasion, abuse, rape, decimation
and discrimination from more than 250 million immigrants living in their territory.

Long are gone the
days where the USA was, to a certain extent, made of, and led by, courageous, unselfish and visionary individuals.
As a Post Scriptum,
those ‘Uessessians’ that criticize the current Spanish political situation
should take a step back, observe and learn from a country that is capable
to say NO to their Premier’s candidates,
all the while the current appointees are managing to keep the country in
relative stability pending the finding of a ‘decent’ solution to form a
‘hopefully decent’ government. And the Parties are not afraid to change
the candidates when any of these do not conform to the expected standards. And
that, Ladies and Gentlemen, takes balls to do…..
Will this people, who is still living with (exaggerated) pride
based on stars won seventy years ago which are now exceedingly worn out, find a
way to cultivate themselves, spend more time and money travelling the world
(not just visiting Disneyland, Las Vegas or the Grand Canyon) and make
conscious efforts to realize that there is life outside the USA? How many
generations will it take for this poor people to get to a proper educational
and cultural level (including manners, learning about geography, speaking
languages, etc) such that they could be prepared to truly (not only in their
little minds) live up to the world’s expectations and manage ‘Independence
Day’?
